 Katie Hines has been married
twenty-three years, has two grown
children, and has lived in South
Carolina for twenty-one years.

 Ms. Hines had several of her poems
published in an anthology while she
was still in high school. She returned
to writing while in her forties, and
specialized in humor articles and
feature articles for area newspapers.
In addition to writing Guardian, a
middle grade urban fantasy, she is
currently working on several middle
grade novels.

Guardian is Katie's first publication
through 4RV Publishing.
