| Submission Guidelines - Please follow completely. Following these guidelines is a test. Failing means an automatic rejection. - Authors are paid in royalties Authors do NOT pay for publishing IMPORTANT: Any material used in a manuscript from another source MUST be cited and, if used, must have written permission from the owner of that intellectual property; and a copy of the permission must be included with the manuscript. The only exception is the use of material in public domain. IMPORTANT: Any submission must be first professionally edited and written to publishing standards, including correct spelling and grammar (spell check will help with spelling to some extent, but making sure words are spelled and used correctly is part of writer's responsibility). 4RV editors will work with authors, who are offered a contract, to meet 4RV standards and to improve work, not to do editing and proofreading that should have been finished, with revision, before submission. Acceptance of manuscript is not guaranteed. Electronic submissions are accepted and preferred, but all components must be sent as email attachments in Word 2003 or later (newer versions cannot be opened), and guidelines must be followed. Send electronic submissions to President@4rvpublishingllc.com Special note:. 4RV takes a 3 month option on the work, after asking for full manuscript, meaning it cannot be submitted elsewhere until rejected by 4RV during that time. If the company sends an email voicing interest in the work, 4RV has 30 days to send a contract or notice of revisions needed before a contract is offered. Until then, submissions should not be offered or a contract accepted anywhere else. The author has option not to submit. Guidelines for submissions:
The following should be attached to the email as separate attachments:
Double spaced with paragraphs indented per correct manuscript format Only one (1) space after periods. Do NOT use two (2) spaces after periods - to be used for all manuscript material submitted. Font such as Times New Roman, easily read Font size 12 One inch margins
Top right corner: 1. Name 2. Address 3. City, State Zip 4. Email address 5. Phone number Other pages: Upper right corner: include on one (1) line: author last name, title of book, page number For illustrated books, if author provides professional quality illustrations, they must be correct resolution and quality or will not be accepted. If an illustrator is needed, please note in cover letter. Sizes of illustrations depend on size of book selected by publisher. IF submitting by mail, send cover letter, synopsis, manuscript, and SASE (Self-addressed Stamped envelope) in envelope large enough that nothing is folded. Please use paper clips rather than staples. Electronic submission is preferred. To submit needed materials by mail, send to 4RV Publishing LLC PO Box 6482 Edmond, OK 73083-6482 Required for mailed submissions ONLY: SASE required, either to cover return of material or for notification letter. (Optional - self-addressed, stamped post card for notification of arrival. If correct postage is not included, nothing will be returned to author. We will not accept mail with postage due. Electronic submissions preferred. If we require or request additional material, we ask for both a hard copy and an electronic file with material in MS Word 2003 or earlier. IF we accept the manuscript, when we send a contract, we will expect the author to send us a photo to use for publicity (.jpg, 300 dpi), a short biography, a W-9 tax form, and a list of places to contract for the author to make appearances such as bookstores, libraries, and schools in the author's area (include addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and, if possible, contact person for each) The contract will not be honored until we receive the needed information. NOTE: All authors offered a contract are required to have a website and a blog.
